I'm currently representing an established construction consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced
Senior Project Manager to join its team in Ipswich.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who wants to work for a well-established consultancy, take ownership of projects and develop strong relationships with a range of clients.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered successfully in terms of programme, cost, quality and client expectations.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading and managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Establishing project objectives, programmes and delivery strategies.
- Managing project teams and coordinating consultants and contractors.
- Monitoring project progress, budgets, risks and programmes.
- Managing procurement and tender processes.
- Providing regular project reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Identifying and managing project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Managing meetings, workshops and project reviews.
- Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
- Supporting the development of junior Project Managers and wider team members.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the consultancy.
About You
We're looking for a confident and commercially aware Project Manager with strong consultancy experience and excellent client-facing skills.
Ideally, you will have
- Strong experience working as a Project Manager within a construction consultancy.
- Experience managing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent knowledge of project management processes, procurement and delivery.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- The confidence to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- A relevant construction, project management or built environment qualification.
- APM, RICS or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous.
