I'm currently working with a well-established building services consultancy based in London that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer as part of its continued growth. The consultancy delivers high-quality electrical and multi-disciplinary building services solutions across a varied project portfolio and places a strong emphasis on client relationships, technical excellence, and project ownership.
The Role
You'll take responsibility for managing and delivering electrical building services projects from concept through to completion, acting as a key client-facing contact and ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical standard. At Principal level, there is scope to play a key role in mentoring engineers and supporting the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical building services projects from inception to completion
- Lead electrical design, including specifications, calculations, and reports
- Act as a key client-facing representative on projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams
- Oversee project delivery, programme, and technical quality
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- Proven experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Strong project management experience
- Comfortable in a client-facing role
- Operating at Senior or Principal Engineer level
- Excellent technical and communication skills
- Working towards or holding IEng / CEng status is beneficial
