We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner with expertise in heavy civil engineering to join a leading Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor. You\’ll play a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK. The Role As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for all planning functions using Primavera P6, ensuring programmes are contractually robust and fully compliant with NEC requirements. You will develop and maintain baseline programmes, manage progress updates, and oversee early warning and compensation event assessments, providing accurate data and insight to drive project performance. Key Responsibilities Lead planning and scheduling for major heavy civil engineering projects. Operate Primavera P6 across NEC planning functions: Clause 31 – Baseline programme creation. Clause 32 – Programme updates and revisions. Clause 60 – Early warning assessments. Clause 61 – Compensation event notifications. Clause 62 – Compensation event assessments. Ensure strict adherence to NEC contract requirements. Deliver accurate reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis to stakeholders. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to produce realistic, achievable programmes. Identify and manage risks, delays, and opportunities to optimise project delivery. Provide support and mentoring to junior planners as required.About You Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering (essential). Proven experience as a Planner/Senior Planner on heavy civil engineering or major infrastructure projects. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with hands-on NEC planning experience. Strong understanding of heavy civils construction methodologies and project phasing. Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.What\’s on Offer Competitive annual salary.
