Senior Civil Design Engineer Location: Southwark, London Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Benefits Type: Full-Time | Permanent Senior Civil Design Engineer - Southwark A well-established civil engineering and transport planning consultancy based in Southwark is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their close-knit London team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key technical role, working across a range of residential and infrastructure projects, while maintaining a strong level of hands-on design involvement. The Opportunity You'll be joining a growing consultancy delivering tailored engineering solutions across sectors including: Residential development Infrastructure Transport planning Regeneration projects The business offers a collaborative and supportive environment, where engineers are given real responsibility, ownership of their work, and the opportunity to directly contribute to project and business success. The Role As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of development infrastructure schemes, particularly within the residential sector. Responsibilities will include: Preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and providing planning support Designing highways and drainage infrastructure for residential developments Producing detailed design drawings, specifications and technical reports Designing SuDS schemes and supporting submissions for adoption Using software such as Civil 3D, Causeway Flow and/or Site 3D Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects What We're Looking For Strong experience in civil engineering design within a consultancy environment Background in residential development and infrastructure design Experience with: Drainage design and SuDS Highways design Flood Risk Assessments Proficiency in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow or similar software Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Ambition to continue progressing toward senior leadership Benefits 24 days annual leave (increasing with service) + bank holidays Generous pension contribution Income protection plan Private healthcare scheme Hybrid working and flexible arrangements Quarterly social events Professional membership support Full support toward Chartership Why Apply?
