Our client is looking to add a motivated Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join a growing delivery team on a range of civil engineering projects across the southeast. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part delivering interesting unique projects.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out setting out, surveying, and dimensional control duties as a Setting Out Engineer on site
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line within internal systems, procedures, and policies
- Monitor site conditions including movement, vibration, and environmental factors
- Maintain and regularly check calibration of surveying equipment
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, quality checks (QA), and ITPs
- Review updated drawings and communicate any changes or discrepancies to site management
- Raise technical queries and flag potential programme or sequencing issues
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CSCS card - White - (Manager or Academically Qualified)
- Competent with surveying equipment (EDM, Total Stations, automatic levels)
- Experience with AutoDesk packages (e.g., Civils 3D, LSS preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Project
