The Opportunity
As a Graduate Project Manager, you'll support senior members of the team while developing the technical, commercial and communication skills needed to become a successful consultant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
- Supporting Project Managers with programme management, budgets, project reporting and risk management.
- Attending client meetings, design workshops and site visits.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and maintaining key project documentation.
- Assisting with procurement and contract administration activities.
- Learning how to manage project change, programme and quality.
- Supporting the delivery of projects in line with health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Building strong relationships with clients and the wider project team.
About You
We're looking for someone who's motivated, eager to learn and excited to build a long-term career in construction project management.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering or another construction related discipline.
- A genuine interest in construction project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take on responsibility.
- The confidence to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- An interest in working across a variety of sectors and project types.
- Some knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- Ambitions to work towards professional qualifications such as APM or RICS.
