We are working on behalf of a highly regarded construction consultancy based in Central London to recruit a MRICS-qualified Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven QS to join a progressive, design-conscious firm delivering complex and high-quality projects across a wide range of sectors.

The consultancy works with prestigious clients across commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments - both new build and refurbishment - and takes pride in delivering with precision, transparency, and integrity.

Role Overview:

You'll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects, providing cost consultancy and commercial leadership across high-profile schemes in London and the South East. You'll also play a key role in client relationship management and will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and contribute to the ongoing growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre- and post-contract cost management
  • Preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
  • Procurement advice and contract administration
  • Cost reporting, valuations, and change control
  • Value engineering and risk management
  • Managing client relationships and delivering commercially sound advice

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified (or very close to completion)
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in a consultancy / PQS environment
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK construction and contracts (JCT)
  • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
