We're working with a leading specialist civil engineering contractor to recruit a Commercial Manager to join their growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure and ground engineering projects while leading commercial performance across a varied project portfolio.

You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects.
  • Leading cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance.
  • Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts.
  • Administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events.
  • Managing client relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Preparing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors within the team.
  • Ensuring projects are successfully delivered through to final account.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
  • Strong background within civil engineering, ground engineering, piling, rail, highways, utilities or infrastructure.
  • Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence.
