About the Company:
I'm working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected construction consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Managing Director (Quantity Surveying) to lead and grow their London office. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take a strategic leadership role within a thriving, independent firm.
The Role:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the London office's cost management/quantity surveying function, driving business development, overseeing key client relationships, and leading a high-performing team of surveyors. You'll play a crucial role in the future growth of the business, particularly within the residential and prime residential sectors, though wider sector experience is also valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the London-based quantity surveying team
- Win and develop new business, with a strong focus on the residential and high-end residential (prime resi) markets
- Oversee major client accounts and ensure excellence in project delivery
- Shape the strategic direction of the London office in line with wider company goals
- Mentor and develop internal talent and contribute to a collaborative company culture
- Represent the business at industry events and within key professional networks
Requirements:
- Strong background in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
- Proven leadership experience at senior level within a consultancy environment
- Established client network and strong business development track record
- MRICS or similar professional qualification preferred
- Commercially astute, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ambitious, driven and entrepreneurial mindset
