I'm currently working with a well-established London-based building services consultancy that is continuing to grow its electrical team and is now looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer. The business is known for delivering high-quality, technically robust building services solutions across a varied project portfolio, working closely with architects, developers, and end clients. This role would suit an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to step into a position with genuine technical influence and progression potential.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects, taking ownership of technical output and contributing to the wider success of the team. At Principal level, there is also scope to help shape project strategy and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver electrical design across multiple building services projects
- Produce and review detailed designs, specifications, and calculations
- Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams
- Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers
- Attend and contribute to client and design team meetings
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- Proven experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Operating comfortably at Senior or Principal level
- Strong technical capability across electrical systems
- Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
- Working towards or holding IEng / CEng status is beneficial
