As a Principal Transport Planner you will lead development planning projects and provide strategic transport advice within a collaborative London team. Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans
  • Manage development planning projects from inception to completion
  • Conduct traffic/transport data analysis and interpret findings for planning applications
  • Assess transport impacts and provide strategic advice for developments
  • Manage client relationships and liaise with stakeholders, local authorities, and design teams
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Support ongoing development of client relationships and new business opportunities
  • Take responsibility for project programmes, budgets, and deliverables

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in Transport Planning, preferably in a consultancy
  • Strong experience in development planning and transport consultancy
  • Proven track record of leading and managing projects independently
  • Strong technical, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Good understanding of the UK planning process and transport requirements for development schemes
  • Proactive and commercially aware approach to delivery
  • Degree in Transport Planning or related discipline
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and commercially aware mindset
