An established and expanding consultancy is looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to strengthen its London team. This role is ideal for a surveyor who enjoys a broad workload, takes ownership of their projects, and has solid experience in both general building surveying and Party Wall matters.
Working across a mix of residential and commercial property, you'll provide trusted technical advice to a wide-ranging client base, from private individuals to corporate owners and developers.
The Opportunity: You'll take a key role within the surveying team, managing instructions independently and contributing to projects from early-stage advice through to delivery. The position offers real autonomy, direct client exposure, and the chance to work on varied and often complex properties across London.
Key Duties as the Chartered Building Surveyor:
- Provide general building surveying advice, including inspections and reporting
- Prepare and deliver building surveys for residential and commercial assets
- Act as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and planned maintenance schemes
- Advise on and manage dilapidations claims and negotiations
- Lead Party Wall appointments in accordance with the Party Wall etc.
Requirements:
- MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor
- Strong all-round building surveying experience
- Demonstrable Party Wall surveying experience
- Background within a consultancy environment
- Dilapidations and contract administration experience advantageous
- Confident communicator with a practical, client-focused approach
- Organised, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple instructions
