Health & Safety Consultant / Principal Designer

About the Opportunity
We are representing a leading construction consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality services across the built environment. Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio, an opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Consultant to join their London team. This role sits within a well-established group of consultants who provide robust health and safety advice across both public and private sectors - from SMEs to major blue-chip organisations.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as Principal Designer or Principal Designer Advisor on small to large-scale projects
- Conduct general and topic-specific health and safety audits
- Advise clients on project team capability, management arrangements and procedures
- Deliver health and safety guidance, advice and training across the client base
- Assist with PQQ and tender documentation
Experience
- Proven client-side experience within the construction or property industry
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations, including experience in roles such as CDM Coordinator
- Experience across multiple sectors and exposure to complex, large-scale projects
- Strong IT, communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-focused collaborator who supports colleagues and shares knowledge
- Team-oriented, proactive and eager to learn
- Committed to delivering excellent service and achieving strong commercial outcomes
Candidate Profile
- CertOSH and working towards (or willing to work towards) Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH)
- Level 6 Health & Safety qualification desirable (Level 3 acceptable if chartered in a design discipline)
