The Opportunity

I'm working on behalf of a leading construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Associate Director - Quantity Surveyor to join their growing London infrastructure team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional with strong NEC expertise and a proven track record delivering major infrastructure programmes.

You will play a key role in leading high-value, complex projects across sectors including highways, aviation, energy, rail and wider transportation infrastructure, supporting both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management across major infrastructure programmes
  • Provide strategic cost and contract advice to clients
  • Administer and manage NEC contracts (essential)
  • Oversee cost planning, procurement strategy, risk management and change control
  • Lead and mentor junior team members
  • Support business development and client relationship management
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the infrastructure division

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within a consultancy environment
  • Strong background delivering major infrastructure projects (e.g., highways, aviation, rail or large-scale infrastructure programmes)
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience administering NEC contracts (essential)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
