We're recruiting a Project Engineer / Site Agent to support a major, multi‑year nuclear‑licensed infrastructure programme. This is a technically demanding environment with strict quality, assurance, and compliance requirements, so it suits someone with strong engineering fundamentals and the confidence to manage complex interfaces, heavy civils works, and highly controlled construction processes. You'll be involved in large‑scale earthworks, deep excavations, reinforced concrete structures, marine‑adjacent works, utilities, and heavy temporary works. The role requires a clear understanding of nuclear‑grade quality expectations, rigorous documentation, and the ability to work within a highly regulated framework where buildability, sequencing, and technical accuracy are critical. Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day delivery of allocated civils packages within a regulated environment Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical requirements with precision Coordinate with designers, temporary works, and assurance teams to maintain compliance Manage permits, RAMS, ITPs, and quality records to nuclear‑grade standards Support planning, sequencing, and interface management across multiple contractors Drive buildability, problem‑solving, and technical assurance on complex civils works Maintain clear communication with commercial, planning, and stakeholder teamsIdeal background Civil engineering degree or equivalent Experience as a Project Engineer, Site Agent, or Senior Engineer on major civils or infrastructure schemes Strong understanding of temporary works, QA, and engineering control Comfortable working within highly regulated environments with strict assurance processes Able to challenge design, propose practical solutions, and uphold high technical standardsThis role offers long‑term stability, technical depth, and the chance to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure programme with complex engineering challenges and clear progression opportunities.
