The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious and organised Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a large-scale infrastructure project in Hampshire. This role offers excellent exposure to contract administration, commercial management, procurement, and project support within a fast-paced project environment.

Working alongside an experienced commercial team, you will assist in managing contractual processes, coordinating documentation, supporting change management activities, and maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders and supply chain partners.

Key Duties

  • Assist with the administration of contracts and associated project documentation
  • Support the management and tracking of change events and commercial updates
  • Prepare and issue contractual correspondence and project communications
  • Help review agreements and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and external stakeholders where required
  • Attend meetings, record minutes, and track actions
  • Maintain accurate records and support reporting activities
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and contractual obligations
  • Provide general commercial and administrative support to the wider project team

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage and maintain project records effectively

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial support role is advantageous
  • Experience within construction or infrastructure environments would be beneficial
  • Degree or higher-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field preferred
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Full UK driving licence
