The business delivers a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including major rail schemes, offering the opportunity to take ownership of significant projects within a well-established commercial team. The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with the wider project and commercial teams. Managing project costs and overall commercial performanceCVR preparation, forecasting and commercial reportingManaging contractual obligations and commercial riskProcurement and subcontract managementManaging change, variations and final accountsIdentifying commercial opportunities and best-value solutionsBuilding strong relationships with clients and supply chain partnersProviding commercial support and guidance to the wider project teamManaging projects with a high degree of autonomyAbout YouWe're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in rail, infrastructure, civil engineering or construction. You'll ideally have: Relevant commercial/QS qualificationStrong experience with CVRs, forecasting and commercial reportingGood knowledge of NEC and other forms of contractExperience managing projects with limited supervisionStrong subcontract and supply chain management experienceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive and commercially driven approachExperience within rail or major infrastructure environments would be highly advantageous.
