A leading engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join its growing Scotland team. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on complex, high-profile projects across healthcare, education, data centres, critical infrastructure, commercial, residential and technology sectors.
The Role
- You'll lead the electrical design delivery on significant projects, taking ownership from inception through to completion while managing internal teams, clients and external consultants.
- You'll be responsible for:
- Leading electrical design delivery on complex projects.
- Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Developing design briefs and managing client relationships.
- Representing the business at client and project meetings.
- Reviewing and overseeing technical work and developing junior engineers.
- Managing project costs, resources and commercial risks.
- Ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical and quality standard.
- Supporting business development and future client opportunities.
About You
You'll ideally be Chartered or professionally qualified, with strong experience in electrical/building services design and a proven track record leading complex projects. You'll also have strong client-facing and leadership skills, commercial awareness, excellent communication abilities and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux and OM Electrical.
