My client, a highly respected construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join a major infrastructure programme in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of significant civils and enabling works packages within a complex, long‐term project environment.
The Role
- Leading commercial management activities across multiple workstreams
- Administering NEC3 contracts and providing commercial guidance to project stakeholders
- Managing payment applications, assessments and certifications
- Leading the management and resolution of compensation events
- Overseeing change control processes and ensuring accurate commercial reporting
- Supporting programme delivery through proactive commercial risk management
- Collaborating closely with project, delivery and client teams to achieve successful outcomes
About You
- A minimum of 8 years' commercial management or quantity surveying experience
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts
- Proven experience in contract administration, payment mechanisms, change management and commercial reporting
- Demonstrable experience managing payment applications and compensation events
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, transportation or other major project environments
- Sector-specific experience within nuclear or power is not essential; a strong commercial delivery capability and track record supporting complex construction and infrastructure projects is required
Additional Information
- Suffolk-based project with an expectation of 2-3 days per week on site.
- Candidates can be locally based or willing to travel.
