Are you an experienced structural Revit technician able to take responsibility for the delivery of complex schemes and be responsible for the production, co-ordination and management of high quality BIM models, technical drawings and design documentation? Interested to work in the specialist power industry?
This well established Epsom based specialist design consultancy are part of a large utilities contractor group. They are looking to expand to around 40 staff in the design office, and are currently looking for an experienced Civil/Structural Revit Technician to join their team. The role will also include some AutoCAD work, but is mostly Revit.
You will be working on projects in the power industry. These are highly technical, often specialist schemes. The types of projects will include:
- Substation design
- Power networks
- Battery storage facilities
- Design of blast resistant buildings
- Switch houses
- GIS buildings
- Buildings to house transformer cells
- Designing of specialist steelwork structures and supports underground and inside of tunnels to carry heavy power cables
There are refurbishment and new builds involved. Projects normally involve design in steel and concrete, with some masonry and can range from small up to multi million £ schemes. The work is interesting and complex, with each project being different.
Experience of working on projects in the power sector would be highly advantageous. You must be experienced with Revit and AutoCAD for buildings structures. Experience of Navisworks for clash detections would be advantageous. Desire to develop expertise in digital engineering, BIM, emerging technologies and project delivery would be essential.
