We are working with a leading contractor seeking a Graduate Environmental Advisor to join their established Health, Safety and Environment team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across a range of high‑profile construction projects, while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting project teams with environmental best practice and day‑to‑day environmental matters on site
- Supporting environmental inspections, audits and monitoring activities
- Helping to maintain compliance with ISO14001, ISO50001 and environmental licences, permits and regulatory requirements
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of environmental documentation, including Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and waste management plans
- Supporting energy, carbon and waste reduction initiatives across projects
- Collecting and analysing environmental data to support reporting and performance improvement
- Working closely with site teams, clients and environmental specialists to support project delivery
Desired Candidate Profile
- A degree or relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in environmental management within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
