Our client, a leading UK private engineering consultancy, is looking to expand their London team with the addition of a motivated Civil Design Engineer. With a strong pipeline of projects across the commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established firm committed to your professional development.
The Role:
As a Civil Design Engineer, you'll work closely with senior engineers and experienced technicians on a range of infrastructure design projects. You'll be supported through an ICE-approved training agreement, providing a clear path towards chartership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of infrastructure for residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including roads and SUDS drainage systems
- Liaison with key authorities such as Southern Water, the Environment Agency, and local highways departments
- Attend and contribute to site visits, design team meetings, and inspections
- Produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
- Deliver work to agreed budgets and deadlines
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
- 1-2 years' experience in a UK-based civil engineering consultancy
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroDrainage is advantageous but not essential
