We are a highly respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join our expanding Water team. The company has a strong national presence, delivering projects across flood risk management, drainage design, river restoration, and natural flood management. Hybrid working options are available.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of hydraulic modelling and hydrology projects, including river engineering, restoration, major infrastructure, and large-scale development schemes, from concept to completion.
- Manage projects, mentor junior colleagues, and liaise confidently with clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with experts from multiple disciplines to ensure technically robust solutions and successful project outcomes.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong experience in hydraulic modelling and hydrology.
- Experience using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, ReFH2, WINFAP, and GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS).
- Good understanding of UK flood risk policy and planning frameworks.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) is preferred.
- Ability to manage projects and communicate with clients and regulators.
Location & Working Arrangements
London is preferred, with flexibility to work from Birmingham, Bristol, or Cambridge. Hybrid working options available.
