We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across London. With a strong pipeline of concrete and substructure works, they are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in concrete structures and cut & carve construction to lead commercial delivery across multiple projects.
The Role
- Overall commercial leadership across multiple concrete, basement, and substructure projects
- Setting and implementing commercial strategy, controls, and best practice
- Oversight of cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, and cash flow
- Management of commercial risk, change control, and contractual compliance
- Senior-level client engagement and commercial negotiations
- Leadership, mentoring, and development of Senior QSs and commercial teams
- Supporting pre-construction, procurement strategy, and bid reviews
- Final account strategy and high-level close-out responsibility
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager role within civil engineering or structures
- Strong background working on structures
- Experience managing commercial teams and multiple project streams
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Strategic, commercially decisive, and confident operating at senior stakeholder level
