Civil CAD Technician / Engineer - Godalming / Waterloo Location: Godalming / Waterloo, London Salary: £33,000 - £42,000 DOE Type: Full-Time | Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid The Opportunity An established, independently owned transport planning and infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil CAD Technician / Engineer to join its growing infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-4 years' experience to develop their technical skills while working on a varied portfolio of development-led projects across residential, commercial, leisure, healthcare and other sectors. You'll work closely with experienced Principal Engineers, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction. With a close-knit team and a strong focus on professional development, you'll have the opportunity to take on responsibility early and build towards ICE professional registration. The Role Supporting the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion Producing high-quality CAD drawings and technical design information Working on highways, drainage, SuDS, earthworks and plot design Developing level strategies and undertaking cut-and-fill assessments Preparing technical reports, specifications and planning submissions Coordinating infrastructure designs with wider project teams Liaising with clients and other stakeholders as your experience develops Working alongside senior engineers, receiving mentoring and technical guidance What We're Looking For Around 1-4 years' experience in civil engineering or infrastructure design HNC, BEng, MEng or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Experience in one or more areas of highways, drainage, earthworks, level strategies or plot design Good CAD skills and an interest in developing your technical design capabilities Experience using Civil 3D and/or Site3D would be advantageous Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning An interest in progressing towards ICE professional registration Why Apply? £33,000 - £42,000 salary, depending on experience Join a small, independently owned consultancy with a supportive team culture Work on varied infrastructure projects across multiple sectors Gain early responsibility and direct client exposure Receive structured mentoring and support towards ICE Chartership Hybrid working, splitting time between home and the Godalming and Waterloo offices 25 days' annual leave, plus public holidays, with the option to buy up to five additional days Discretionary annual bonus Private healthcare and wellbeing support Support for CPD, training and ICE membership fees Opportunities to influence the team's growth and develop your career If you're looking for a Civil CAD Technician / Engineer role where you can broaden your technical experience, work on varied projects and receive genuine support towards your professional development, apply directly or contact Michael from Aldwych Consulting on (phone number removed) Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
