We are supporting a project team on a public realm landscaping scheme in Wandsworth and are seeking a Clerk of Works to be based on site full time.
Scope of works includes:
- Public realm landscaping
- Paving and hard landscaping
- Planting and soft landscaping
- Steps and small structures
The Role: As Clerk of Works, you will act as the client's representative on site, providing independent oversight and quality assurance throughout the works. You will be responsible for being the eyes and ears on site, ensuring construction activities are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, standards and programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Full-time site presence overseeing works
- Monitoring quality and workmanship
- Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and standards
- Maintaining accurate site records, diaries and reports
- Identifying defects and non-compliance
- Liaising with the project team and contractors
- Supporting the smooth delivery of the scheme
Contract length: 4-6 months
Rate/Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
