Looking to build your career in Transport Planning? We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join a growing, multidisciplinary consultancy based in Cheltenham. This role is ideal for someone with early to mid-stage experience in transport planning who is keen to broaden their technical capability, gain greater project exposure and progress within a supportive, team-focused environment.
You will work as part of an established transport planning team, supporting development-led projects across a range of sectors and playing an active role in taking schemes through the planning process.

What you will be doing:- Preparing technical reports including Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Access Appraisals
- Supporting junction capacity assessments and traffic modelling
- Assisting with swept path analysis and basic access layouts
- Supporting project delivery and programme management
- Liaising with internal teams, clients and local authority stakeholders
- Attending site visits, meetings and public consultation events
- Managing your workload with guidance from senior team members
- Supporting fee proposals and project administration where required
- Experience working on development-led transport planning projects (consultancy or local authority)
- A working knowledge of junction modelling software (e.g. ARCADY, PICADY or similar)
- Understanding of transport considerations for residential and commercial developments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An organised, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or similar
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
