I'm working with a growing, independent civil and structural engineering consultancy with a great reputation across South Wales and the South West. They've built strong, long-term relationships with a broad mix of clients in the residential, commercial, and education sectors - and are now looking to strengthen their Cardiff team with a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to have a real voice in the direction of a team, contribute to project delivery and business development, and help shape the future of a growing office.
Why consider this role?
- Influence and autonomy - You'll have a key role in the Cardiff office's growth, contributing to team leadership, mentoring junior staff, and managing key client relationships.
- Quality-first consultancy - They focus on well-engineered, pragmatic solutions and lasting relationships rather than chasing volume.
- Varied workload - Projects include a strong mix of private and public sector work, with involvement from feasibility through to delivery.
- Flexible and supportive culture - Hybrid working is encouraged, and the leadership team values work-life balance.
What they're looking for:
- A degree-qualified Civil Engineer with strong consultancy experience
- A background in drainage and highway design (SuDS, S104, S278, S38)
- Strong working knowledge of Site 3D, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
- Confident communicator, able to lead projects and engage with clients
- Keen to mentor junior engineers and play a role in developing the team
Whether you're a Senior Engineer ready to step up or an experienced Principal looking for more autonomy, this is a great time to join a well-respected consultancy with big plans for the future.
