A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Cambridge team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take ownership of major mechanical and electrical packages across a diverse portfolio of projects. Key Responsibilities of the Senior MEP Surveyor:- Lead the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation.
- Manage procurement activities, contractor appointments and tender evaluations.
- Administer contracts and maintain commercial compliance throughout project lifecycles.
- Oversee valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Support value engineering and risk management initiatives.
- Monitor commercial performance against programme and budget targets.
- Lead commercial meetings, workshops and client presentations where required.
You'll be an experienced MEP surveying professional with a strong understanding of building services packages on major construction projects.
Requirements:- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
- Proven experience within an MEP Quantity Surveying or Building Services environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services packages.
- Experience managing MEP costs from pre-contract through to final account.
- Familiarity with NEC and JCT forms of contract.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Working towards or already achieved chartered status (RICS or equivalent) is desirable.
- A proactive, commercially aware mindset and ambition to progress within a growing consultancy.
