Our client is looking for an experienced Build Package Manager to oversee two subcontractors responsible for the building envelope and fit-out works on a build-only contract. The role is site-based and will require strong coordination, subcontractor management, and technical knowledge to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day delivery of the envelope and fit-out subcontractors.
- Review and monitor subcontractor programmes, progress, and resourcing.
- Ensure works are delivered to the required quality standards and in line with design/specification.
- Enforce health & safety compliance, carrying out regular checks and ensuring best practice on site.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries.
- Manage interfaces between envelope, fit-out, and other trades.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to the project team.
- Drive completion, snagging, and handover of the architectural works.
- Previous experience as a Package Manager or Senior Site Manager (Architectural, Envelope, or Fit-out).
- Strong track record of managing subcontractors in a build-only or D&B environment.
- Good technical understanding of envelope systems and fit-out sequencing.
- Confident in programme management, quality assurance, and health & safety.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge subcontractors and drive performance.
- Proactive and organised, able to work independently.
- Collaborative and solutions-focused.
- Detail-driven with a strong safety and quality mindset.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines on complex projects.
- You will hold some form of relevant Construction qualification (HND, Degree, NVQ).
- You will hold a relevant and in date CSCS Card.
- SMSTS.
