The Opportunity
A leading construction and property consultancy is continuing to grow its Cost & Commercial team in Edinburgh and across the East of Scotland , creating an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business.
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-value projects across a diverse range of sectors, including education, residential, infrastructure and public sector developments .
You'll join a collaborative and established team where you'll have the opportunity to work closely with clients and senior stakeholders while contributing to the continued growth of the regional business.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role in the commercial delivery of major projects, providing high-quality cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the commercial delivery of major construction projects.
Managing cost control, commercial performance and project risk.
Taking ownership of key client and stakeholder relationships.
Providing clear reporting on financial performance, risks and opportunities.
Undertaking both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties .
Advising clients and project teams on commercial matters and procurement.
Working across multidisciplinary project teams to drive best practice.
Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and developing team capability.
Contributing to bids, business development and the growth of existing client relationships.
Supporting the wider Scottish and Northern Ireland regional practice.
The Person
We're looking for a confident and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take ownership of major projects and develop their career within a leading consultancy.
Ideally, you will have:
A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline .
MRICS qualified or working towards chartership .
Strong experience across both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying.
