An established and highly respected construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Director - Quantity Surveyor to support continued growth across its UK project portfolio.

With a strong brand, loyal client base, and a reputation for delivering complex schemes to the highest standard, this consultancy works on prestigious projects across private healthcare, commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

This is a senior, client-facing role offering real influence, autonomy, and a clear pathway to Director level.

The Role

As Associate Director, you will take responsibility for leading the commercial delivery of multiple projects while supporting business development and mentoring junior team members. The role offers a balanced mix of technical delivery, client management, and strategic input.

The consultancy is particularly keen to speak with individuals who can offer dual capability, combining Quantity Surveying with Project Management (PM) and Employer's Agent (EA) experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Quantity Surveying services from feasibility through to final account
  • Act as Employer's Agent and/or Project Manager on selected schemes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple sectors
  • Provide commercial leadership on complex, high-value projects
  • Support bid writing, fee proposals, and client development
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level staff
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the consultancy

About You

  • MRICS status essential
  • Strong background in construction consultancy
  • Proven experience delivering projects across healthcare, commercial, residential, or mixed-use sectors
  • Demonstrable experience in PM and Employer's Agent roles alongside QS duties
  • Commercially astute with strong client-facing skills
  • Comfortable operating at senior level and contributing to business growth
