A leading UK property consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join its expanding Building Consultancy team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary practice working across a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, public sector and rural property. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad range of professional building surveying services while helping to develop existing client relationships and generate new business opportunities. MRICS qualification is preferred, although applications are welcomed from surveyors currently progressing through the APC with strong consultancy experience. Senior Building Surveyor Position Overview * Deliver a full range of professional building surveying services to a diverse client base. * Undertake building surveys across commercial, residential and rural properties. * Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations. * Produce schedules of condition and negotiate with professional representatives where required. * Manage refurbishment, conversion and new build projects through project management and contract administration. * Prepare feasibility studies and technical reports. * Undertake the Principal Designer role on smaller projects in accordance with CDM 2015. * Provide Party Wall services under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. * Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development. * Assist with mentoring junior surveyors and contribute to the continued growth of the team. Senior Building Surveyor Position Requirements * Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline. * Experience working within a construction consultancy environment. * MRICS qualified is preferred, although candidates actively progressing through the APC will also be considered. * Strong technical knowledge across professional building surveying services. * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Excellent communication and client management skills. * Ability to support and develop junior members of the team. * Full UK driving licence.
