A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major, long-term infrastructure project in Kent. The project provides an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a complex delivery environment, taking responsibility for the commercial management of their own packages while working closely with the wider project team.
The Role
- Managing applications for payment and associated processes
- Cost forecasting and financial reporting
- Preparation and management of CVRs
- Cost-to-complete forecasting
- Managing change control and variations
- Identifying and managing commercial risk
- Managing the subcontract lifecycle
- Procurement and subcontract negotiation
- Providing commercial advice to the project team
- Monitoring project performance against budget
- Supporting dispute avoidance and resolution
- Maintaining accurate commercial records
- Working closely with project delivery and operational teams
About You
- Experience working for a main contractor or specialist contractor
- Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or heavy engineering
- Good knowledge of commercial management and contract administration
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and change
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong Excel and commercial reporting capabilities
- NEC experience would be advantageous
