I'm currently supporting a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield that is looking to appoint a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team. The Opportunity
You'll be joining a highly regarded civil engineering team, working on a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial development projects. The role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle - from concept design through to delivery - making it an excellent opportunity whether you're looking to build on your existing experience or take the next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage, and external works
- Produce technical drawings and detailed design packages using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Attend meetings and represent the business in a professional capacity
- Contribute to design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in infrastructure design (highways and drainage preferred), with flexibility on level depending on the individual
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage or similar
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- An interest in professional development, with support available towards Chartership
