The Opportunity
As Clerk of Works, you will play a critical role ensuring construction quality, compliance, and workmanship standards across multiple live projects. You will act as a key link between contractors and clients, safeguarding delivery excellence from site commencement through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections across new build and regeneration housing schemes
- Monitor build quality, workmanship, and specification compliance
- Produce detailed site reports highlighting progress, defects, and observations
- Review drawings and raise technical or design concerns
- Ensure works align with Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and industry best practice
- Monitor site safety, materials, programme, and contractor performance
- Support project teams with snagging, de‑snagging, handovers, and defects management
- Attend site meetings and provide technical guidance to support successful delivery
