I'm working with a well-established and fast-growing infrastructure contractor delivering a wide range of civil engineering and utility projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. The Role

You'll take commercial responsibility for civil engineering schemes from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of projects including cost control, forecasting and reporting
  • Preparation of CVRs and cost-to-complete forecasts
  • Management and administration of subcontractor packages
  • Valuations, variations and change management
  • Contract administration (typically NEC) including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
  • Liaison with clients and internal stakeholders to drive commercial performance
  • Supporting junior members of the commercial team where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or utilities
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle
  • Confident in cost reporting and commercial management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
