My client, a highly respected construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join a major infrastructure programme in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of significant civils and enabling works packages within a complex, long-term project environment.

Working as part of an integrated project team, you will provide commercial leadership across programme workstreams, ensuring robust contract administration and effective commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading commercial management activities across multiple workstreams
  • Administering NEC3 contracts and providing commercial guidance to project stakeholders
  • Leading the management and resolution of compensation events
  • Overseeing change control processes and ensuring accurate commercial reporting
  • Supporting programme delivery through proactive commercial risk management
  • Collaborating closely with project, delivery and client teams to achieve successful outcomes

A minimum of 8 years' commercial management or quantity surveying experience is required, along with proven experience in contract administration, payment mechanisms, change management and commercial reporting. Demonstrable experience managing payment applications and compensation events is essential, as well as experience within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, transportation or other major project environments. Sector-specific experience within nuclear or power is not essential.
