A family-run, long-established small structural design practice requires an additional structural engineer to join their happy team. This expansion is due to increasing workload.
The role would suit an engineer with a minimum of 3 years of buildings design experience, ideally with experience in the residential sector. Ability to use Autocad would be helpful.
The practice is small and very friendly, currently consisting of 6 Engineers and 1 Technician. You should be able to design in all the main materials. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role will include running your own projects, dealing with clients and architects.
The work is very varied, mainly in the residential sector, with projects typically ranging from small up to £4-5m in build value. The station is within easy walking distance from the office.
No current or future visa sponsorship can be offered, so you must have the full right to work in the UK long term and live within reasonable commuting distance.
