The Opportunity
Joining a well-established transport planning team, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of development projects spanning residential, commercial, education and mixed-use schemes. You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership while developing your technical and client-facing skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments and transport modelling
- Supporting highway and access design work using CAD software
- Managing project delivery and programme requirements
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, project teams and clients
- Attending site visits, public consultations and project meetings
- Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members where appropriate
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience within a transport planning consultancy environment
- Exposure to development-led transport planning projects across sectors such as residential, commercial or education
- Knowledge of junction modelling and wider transport assessment methodologies
- Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
- An understanding of the planning process and its relationship with transport strategy and assessment
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
