About the Role
We are hiring for a dynamic and forward-thinking transport planning consultancy committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions for their clients. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planning Technician to join a London office. In this role, you will support the Transport Planning team by producing technical drawings and preliminary highway designs using CAD. You will play a key role in development planning projects, contributing to the design and delivery of transport solutions that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality CAD drawings and plans for preliminary highway and junction designs.
  • Assist the Transport Planning team with development planning projects, including site access, parking layouts, and sustainable transport strategies.
  • Work closely with planners, engineers, and consultants to deliver integrated and innovative transport solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, planning policy, and local authority requirements.
  • Contribute to the efficient management of project deadlines and workload.

About You

  • Experience using AutoCAD (essential); additional design software skills are an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
  • An interest in transport planning, highways design, and the built environment.
  • Good communication and teamworking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a transport or highways-related role (desirable, but not essential).
