Technical Services Manager – Reading Area – Competitive Salary + Benefits
We\’re looking for a Technical Services Manager to join projects in the Reading area. This role combines design input with oversight of delivery from early stages through to completion.
You\’ll be involved from design through to installation, supporting teams, reviewing submissions, and ensuring compliance across multiple schemes. The position requires someone confident both at the design table and on site, able to bridge technical detail with practical delivery.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Supporting production of designs and specifications at early stages
- Managing technical elements across multiple live projects
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor designs, tenders, and technical submissions
- Chairing meetings and monitoring on-site progress
- Advising pre-construction and design teams on risks, compliance, and cost
- Overseeing commissioning programmes and sign-off
What we\’re looking for:
- Proven Technical Services Manager experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, public health and life safety systems
- Background in managing works through design and installation phases
- Relevant engineering or technical qualifications
- Confident working with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
