Overview: Are you a graduate structural designer keen to design complex schemes? Join a well‑established specialist design consultancy that is part of a large utilities contractor group. The firm focuses on structural design for projects in the power industry, including power networks, substations, battery storage facilities, blast‑resistant buildings, switch houses, GIS buildings, transformer cell enclosures and specialist steelwork structures for tunnels and underground cable routes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide complex design solutions across a range of projects.
- Perform structural design in steel, concrete, masonry and other materials.
- Work autonomously on individual projects and collaborate with an experienced team.
- Travel to sites in London and the South East as required; a pool car may be provided.
Qualifications:
- Graduated with a high‑calibre civil/structural engineering degree.
- Experience in structural design preferred (up to 5 years) but recent graduates with a good attitude and real desire for engineering design work will be considered.
- Full right to work in the UK and reside within commuting distance of Epsom required.
