I'm working with a well-established and fast-growing infrastructure contractor delivering a wide range of civil engineering and utility projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. The Role
You'll take commercial responsibility for civil engineering schemes from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of projects including cost control, forecasting and reporting
- Preparation of CVRs and cost-to-complete forecasts
- Management and administration of subcontractor packages
- Valuations, variations and change management
- Contract administration (typically NEC) including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
- Liaison with clients and internal stakeholders to drive commercial performance
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or utilities
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle
- Confident in cost reporting and commercial management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
