We're on the lookout for a Senior Transport Planner to join a leading London Transport Planning Consultancy, based in the heart of the City of London, working on the delivery and management of development planning projects across a wide range of sectors. The company is a well-established team of over forty professionals, spread across five offices with a strong presence in London. They are a key player within the UK transport planning industry while still offering the close-knit culture, flexibility, and genuine career progression opportunities that come with a smaller consultancy environment.
Working with this respected consultancy, you'll have the opportunity to lead and deliver an exciting portfolio of projects, ranging from small-scale developments through to major infrastructure schemes. You'll work collaboratively alongside architects, engineers, urban designers, and fellow transport professionals to provide high-quality transport planning services across sectors including retail, residential, sport and leisure, commercial, healthcare, distribution, education, and energy.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and other supporting technical documents.
- Managing and delivering development planning projects from inception through to completion.
- Undertaking traffic and transport data analysis and interpreting findings to support planning applications.
- Assessing the transport impacts of proposed developments and providing strategic transport advice.
- Managing client relationships and attending meetings with stakeholders, local authorities, and design teams.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- A degree in Transport Planning or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within Transport Planning, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Proven experience leading and managing projects independently.
- Strong technical, analytical, and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive and commercially aware approach to project delivery.
