An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Technician to join its growing London infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys taking ownership of projects, coordinating with engineers and wider design teams, and playing a key role in the delivery of complex development and infrastructure schemes. The business delivers projects across residential, mixed-use, commercial, office, education, transport infrastructure and major regeneration sectors, with involvement in some of London's most significant developments. Recent project experience includes large-scale mixed-use regeneration, high-density residential schemes, major commercial developments, public realm improvements and complex urban infrastructure projects across the capital.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing and coordinating high-quality Civil 3D models and technical drawing packages across a broad range of development infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers, project leads and multidisciplinary design teams, you will support projects from early planning stages through to detailed design and construction delivery. Typical work will include highways design, drainage infrastructure, site levels, earthworks, utility coordination and wider civil infrastructure associated with major developments. The role offers exposure to a diverse workload ranging from residential-led masterplans and mixed-use developments to commercial schemes, urban regeneration projects and the growing data centre sector. You will also have the opportunity to support the ongoing development of CAD and BIM standards while assisting in the mentoring and development of junior technicians.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience working as a Civil Technician within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Civil 3D, which is considered essential for the role.
  • Experience producing technical drawings and models for highways, drainage and development infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of site levels, earthworks, utility coordination and external works design.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical quality.
  • Ability to support and mentor junior technicians where required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Revit and Navisworks would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Understanding of BIM processes and project coordination would be advantageous.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy with a strong presence in London and the backing of a major international engineering group with thousands of engineers worldwide. The London business has delivered more than 1,500 projects across the built environment and continues to expand its infrastructure capability. You'll work on technically challenging projects that shape major urban developments, gain exposure to a broad range of sectors, and join a collaborative team that offers genuine opportunities for progression. The business has a strong reputation for staff development, director-level involvement in projects and supporting long-term career growth.
