I'm currently working with a well-established, design-led civil and structural engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Project Civil Engineer to support the growth of their infrastructure team in London. This consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and public realm developments. The Role
As a Project Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of drainage, highways, and public realm schemes, working closely with senior engineers and engaging with clients to deliver practical and sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and delivery of drainage networks, highway layouts, and public realm projects
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Undertake site inspections and support construction activities
- Ensure compliance with UK standards such as DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, and local authority requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships
- Contribute to sustainable and innovative design approaches
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Working towards Chartered status (ICE or similar)
- Experience in drainage, highways, and/or public realm design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or similar tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
