I'm currently supporting a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield that is looking to appoint a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team. The Opportunity
You'll be joining a highly regarded civil engineering team, working on a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial development projects. The role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle—from concept design through to delivery—making it an excellent opportunity whether you're looking to build on your existing experience or take the next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage, and external works
- Produce technical drawings and detailed design packages using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Attend meetings and represent the business in a professional capacity
- Contribute to design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in infrastructure design (highways and drainage preferred), with flexibility on level depending on the individual
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage or similar
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- An interest in professional development, with support available towards Chartership
