A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major rail infrastructure project in London. This is a permanent, full-time role based on site. The company has a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. Responsibilities:
- Administer NEC3 Option C contract, including early warnings and compensation events
- Write and manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Event Notifications
- Manage and price changes and variations in line with contract terms
- Produce detailed cost forecasts and monthly CVRs
- Prepare internal and external financial reports, including profit and loss
- Submit applications for payment under NEC3 Option C
- Understand and apply the Schedule of Cost Components and identify Disallowed Costs
- Procure subcontractors and materials; manage subcontractor accounts
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders on commercial matters
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering or rail sector
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with NEC3 Option C
- Proven ability to forecast costs, manage CVRs, and oversee financial reporting
- Confident in contract administration, change control, and payment processes
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Professional membership (e.g. RICS) preferred but not essential
- Must be able to work full-time on site in London (5 days per week)
