I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded transport planning and infrastructure consultancy to recruit a Senior Transport / Highways Technician.
The Role
As a Senior Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of transport planning and highway design projects, working closely with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing highway design drawings and technical documentation
- Supporting the delivery of Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
- Assisting with junction design, access strategies and feasibility studies
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and internal design teams
- Contributing across projects from concept through to detailed design
About You
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
- Experience within a transport planning or highways consultancy environment
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D or similar
- A solid understanding of UK highways standards and development planning
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
